The opportunity to helpWe believe that those who give the most are the happiest. There is nothing more beautiful than individuals who reach out to make other people’s lives beautiful. It teaches us the value of service to others and shows us how important our contributions are in making this world a better place, especially for the children.
Personal growth and developmentMembership provides education in human relations and personal development. Being in service to others develops good character in everybody. It gives us experiences that teach and develop us to become better individuals.
Make friends and be part of something greatBeing a member allows one to take part in the many activities and projects we create. We have a great group of members who enjoy spending time with each other for the betterment of our community. Dues are $225 a year for the fiscal year that runs July 1 to June 30 plus a one-time $25 joining fee. Dues cover meals at the two monthly meetings. The Club pays $76 a year to National and $16 a year to Lincolnland District per member.

The Exchange Club of Gurnee has made thousands of dollars of financial contributions to the following organizations that each in their own way supports the mission of the Exchange Club of Gurnee in prevention of child abuse. The Exchange Club raises the funds to make these donations through the Salad in the Park, Golf Outing, Sounds of Summer concessions and the Beer Garden at Gurnee Days. Scholarships
Youth of the Month
The Youth of the Month Award recognizes a graduating senior who lives within the Warren District for their academic, athletic, extracurricular and community services activities. The student receives a $400 scholarship.
Youth of the Year
The Youth of the Year Award recognizes a graduating senior who lives within the Warren District for their academic, athletic, extracurricular and community services activities. The student receives a $2,000 scholarship.
Verna Rocheleau Scholarship
The Exchange Club of Gurnee awards the Verna Rocheleau Scholarship every year to a graduating senior who displays a great commitment to their academic achievement, a commitment to society through community service, participation in school activities, and is a graduate of Gurnee District 56. Named in honor of a beloved, long time educator from Gurnee District 56, this financial award is presented to a graduating senior who has given back to their community while exhibiting a strong academic performance. This student receives a $2,000 scholarship.

Awarded to one graduating Warren senior planning to attend an accredited four year college or university. An essay is required.

Bill Souza was an employee of Warren Township High School for many years and was known as "Mr. Blue Devil" because he had been active in the sports and other after school activities as Warren. He was committed to youth activities and the youth of Warren. He was also very active with the Noon Exchange Club and was honored as our "Book of Golden Deeds" recipient in the mid-1980s. He was also known by many in Gurnee as "Mr. Exchange." We would like you to write an essay concerning "what the youth of Gurnee could do for their school and community. We would like it to be at least 200 typewritten words. If your essay continues to additional pages, make sure to add your student ID at the top of each page. This student receives a $2,000 scholarship.

Raise Money
Fundraising activities are essential for supporting donations to non-profits and community groups, and scholarships for high school seniors. Our fundraisers include Ribfest at Gurnee Days in August, Salad in the Park in May, the Golf Outing in June and concessions at Sounds of Summer at Viking Park throughout the summer.
